Hosiery Sizes

Hosiery Sizes

Sizing of hosiery takes into account both height and weight. The greater your height, the lower the weight that a given size of hosiery will fit. When viewing charts, allowances need to be made if your hips/legs are large or small in build in relation to the rest of your figure. Some manufacturers have their own size charts. Here is an approximate guide:

Queen Size = Plus Size = 1-3X: Approx. 170-200lbs (75-90kg) and 5' 2" to 6' (158-183cm) tall.

Queen 2 = 3/4X: Approx. 185-250lbs (85-115kg) and 5' 6" to 6' (168-183cm) tall.
Queen 3 = 5/6X

"Levee" tights: Size 5, approx. 170-210lbs (75-95kg) and 5' to 6' 1" (152-185cm) tall.
"Levee" tights: Size 6, approx. 200-270lbs (90-120kg) and 5' 3" to 6' 4" (152-193cm) tall.

"Levee" stockings: 4X = 44-46" (112-117cm) hips
"Levee" stockings: 5X = 48-50" (122-127cm) hips
"Levee" stockings: 6X = 52-54" (132-137cm) hips
"Levee" stockings: 7X = 56-58" (142-147cm) hips
"Levee" stockings: 8X = 58-60" (147-152cm) hips

"Cette" tights: Large = 48-53" (122-135cm) hips
"Cette" tights: XLarge = 53-57" (135-145cm) hips
"Cette" tights: XXLarge = 57-60" (145-152cm) hips
